3 Amazing Matcha Drinks | #SummerOfMatcha

Hey Guys,

So since summer is just around the corner, I thought it would be perfect to talk about MATCHA .

Matcha is a powdered green tea which is raved about around the world because it claims to:

  • Boost metabolism and burn calories
  • Calm the mind and relax the body
  • Be rich in fiber, chlorophyll and vitamins
  • Enhance mood and aids in concentration
  • Provide vitamin C, selenium, chromium, zinc and magnesium
  • Prevent disease
  • Lower cholesterol and blood sugar

Since Matcha can be quite hard to use for people who haven’t used it before and want to make it more exciting, I thought it would be great to show you 3 Delicious, Creative & Easy Matcha Drinks! WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW

MATCHA MINT SUMMER COOLER – a.k.a my take on a mojito mocktail

  • Eat Clean Tea Mint Matcha
  • Whisk and Sieve/Tea Strainer (optional)
  • Hot and Cold Water
  • Ice
  • 1 Lemon
  • Honey
  • Mason Jar (optional)

Create the Matcha in the traditional way by sieving the mint matcha and whisking it well with hot water (a specialised whisk works best for this). Leave this aside to cool. Cut the lemon in halves, squeeze one half into the mason jar and cut the other into slices. Add the Matcha tea and ice cubes as well as the lemon slices into the Mason jar. Stir however much honey as to your taste, I used 2 teaspoons of thick Greek honey. VOILA!

TRADITIONAL MATCHA LATTE – a classic for those lazy day vibes

  • Eat Clean Tea Mint Matcha
  • Hot Water
  • Milk (can be cows, or any nut milk that froths well,eg. Cashew)
  • Milk frother

Warm the mug, sieve the Matcha and create a paste with the mint Matcha and water and add a little boiling water. Froth the milk to your liking. Top the mug up with the frothed milk (feel free to try some latte art ;p ). Sprinkle some Matcha over the top for #INSTAGOALS.

  • Eat Clean Tea Mint Matcha
  • Milk (any milk)
  • Chocolate Powder or Chocolate Protein Powder
  • Honey (Optional if you have a really sweet tooth but really not necessary)
  • Ice
  • Light Whipped Cream
  • Nutribullet or other blender

Add Ice, Matcha, One scoop of protein powder (or 2 teaspoons of Nesquik etc.) and  around 250ml of milk to your blender. Blend away, if the consistency is too thick add some water but remember to truly recreate the Starbucks Frappucino, you want a thicker consistency! Top the drink with whipped cream and sprinkle some chocolate powder decoration! VOILA!
